Making Space Athlone
I will be taking part in a public art event on Saturday and Sunday the 28th and 29th of May. I will be projecting a video piece, i the that I made recently, in the Civic Square, amongst a variety of works from other artists. The is Making Space Athlone and it is doing just that, making space for contemporary art in Athlone.

Video Stills
I woke up today to perfect lighting and made some video clips. These are a few stills from the footage. I have a new sound recorder so I plan on making some audio later (if I ever read the manual).
I have to get up early for the right light for video and stay up late to record audio when the traffic is not so noisey. I am thinking of taking up insomina.

Skin (Video Stills)
Unedited stills. I have a new found love for video stills over photography or the video. They seem more lively than a photograph but more perfect than the moving image.

...don't they know it's the end of the world...

Video stills from video piece I Present to You. This was shot with a DSLR camera. Which is why there is a narrow dept of field in the first still. This effect was obtained from in camera settings with no colour, saturation or exposure adjustments in post production editing. HD video is relatively new from DSLR cameras and some low budget film makers are quite excited about it. Or so I hear.
I used a Nikon D90, which was the first DSLR with HD video capabilities, as Take That would say, things can only get better. Unless, of course, things get worse.
